Maine Youth Leadership is an all-volunteer organization who supports its mission through sponsorship and fundraising. Thanks to your generous gift, we are able to offer an annual seminar at no cost.
Sponsor an Ambassador
You can sponsor a high school sophomore to attend the Maine Youth Leadership seminar for $34/month or $400/year.
Sponsor a Volunteer Staff Member
The seminar is operated by a team of dedicated volunteers who donate their time. You can sponsor their room and board for the weekend for $25/month or $300/year.
We need your help!
Maine Youth Leadership is a 501(c)(3) non-profit so your donation is tax deductible. About 98% of our spending goes directly to programs that benefit the students (the other 2% is for administration and filing fees). It costs about $400 to sponsor one student for our four day seminar (for meals, lodging, program supplies). Our annual leadership seminar requires about 80 individuals (counselors, junior counselors, panelists, admin help, speakers, etc.) to staff the event. Everyone involved donates their time – no one gets paid a penny.
