William Macomber, Board Member

William was first introduced to MYL in 2018. He believes that MYL has a proven formula with a lasting impact, and he wanted to work with others who work passionately with youth for our future.

William lives in Saco with his wife, and at the moment, his youngest son who is 16. His other son and daughter are off to college. William met his wife while they were both attending Hamilton College, and he furthered his studies with an MSW degree from Smith College for Social Work. He has spent his whole career working in helping professions. For the last 20 years, William has been well invested as a psychotherapist specializing in work with adolescents. His very near future involves fully launching a brand new organization called Accelerate Youth. AY's mission is to accelerate individual, community and global success while offering fun and powerful opportunities for youth to discover their ability to accomplish more than they ever imagined. With AY's training and support, youth will be able to envision the future they want to see, and take powerful steps toward making them a reality. Thinking boldly and acting strategically, AY will infuse society with excitement, hope, and confidence.
